Armageddon the Musical

  • Author: Robert Rankin
  • Publisher: Corgi

The Earthers, a bonafide docu-soap, is making an obscene amount of interstellar bucks, but the TV execs think it needs a little boost. Something that’ll really make their audience sit-up and take note. Something Earth shattering, literally. It’s time, they think, for the grand, the spectacular, the Armageddon Finale!

Meanwhile on Earth something similar is going through the heads of top TV execs at Buddhavision, who are waging theological warfare against the other networks, on an Earth torn apart from the Third World War.

As those of you who have read any Rankin can probably tell, Armageddon the Musical contains his usual mix of the occult, theology and comedy. But what you all really want to know is it any good? Well the answer is yes. Rankin fans, you’ll enjoy this as you’ve enjoyed the others. However, if you’ve never read any Rankin before I’d recommend starting with his “Brentford” series. Mainly because this is one strange gag filled book!

Just remember with Rankin nothing is sacred, I just can’t believe some of the gags and pages make it into print!
