Teppic is an assassin. He was trained at the infamous Assassin’s Guild in Ankh-Morpork. However, due to the untimely death of his father he’s inherited the throne of the dessert kingdom Djelibeybi earlier than expected.

You have to admit his training hasn’t really prepared him for the job. This, and a high priest like Dios means things aren’t likely to go well for the young Teppic. Especially when everyone looks to be hell bent on building the biggest pyramid ever.

This is not the best book in the Discworld series. It is good, don’t get me wrong. And I did enjoy it, but I felt it lacked some of the pazzaz of the others…
