Osric proves to be a more than competant fighter, and also in part due to his one blood red eye, he gains the respect of Sigurd ‘The Lucky’ — the jarl or leader of the viking exhibition.

What follows is a fairly standard historical fiction story of treachery, action and good old fashioned herioc fiction.

I doubt this book would bring people into the historical fiction fold. If you’re a fan, however, of historical fiction in all it’s herioc action then you’re going to really enjoy this.
